Sound and Bright

Sound & Bright Logo

Sound & Bright develops cutting-edge laser-based ultrasound systems with market-leading sensitivity and noise performance. Their instruments are suited to the full range of NDT applications — from laboratory R&D through to in-process industrial inspection.

Founded by optics and NDT specialists, Sound & Bright designs and hand-assembles its instruments in-house, with each system tested by the engineers who built it. They are the only company to commercialise Multi-Channel Random Quadrature (MCRQ) technology – a novel interferometric approach developed with support from NASA and the National Science Foundation. MCRQ enables high-sensitivity measurement across all surface types without the need for high-precision optical alignment, making their systems exceptionally rugged and deployable.
