The ZephIR2.9 SWIR camera enables easy acquisition of low-noise images thanks to its 4-stage thermoelectric cooling (TEC) module that keeps FPA temperatures as low as -80°C. By using thermoelectric cooling, the ZephIR 2.9 doesn’t require any maintenance from a water or a liquid nitrogen chilled unit and does not suffer from the limited lifetime of Stirling mechanical coolers. This leads to greater usability and flexibility when integrating ZephIR 2.9 cameras in your own systems. The ZephIR camera allows the use of reduced sections of the sensor to increase image refresh to a rate above 3000 fps.
With high frame rates allowing high speed image acquisitions through USB 3.0 or cameralink, the ZephIR 2.9 is tailored for demanding industrial applications or high precision scientific experiments. The camera’s hardware coded region-of-interest (ROI) enables the user to choose between a full-frame rate of 340 frames per second (fps) and a windowed rate of up to 3000 fps. Users can choose to use Photon etc’s PHySpec camera control software or develop their own using an extensive software development kit (SDK).
