The Teem Photonics PicoOne is a compact, air-cooled picosecond pulsed laser designed for applications requiring short pulses, high repetition rates and excellent beam quality in a small, reliable package. Combining a passively Q-switched microchip laser with a Master Oscillator Fibre Amplifier (MOFA) stage, the PicoOne provides high peak power while maintaining a compact and efficient architecture.
The PicoOne is available at 1064 nm and 532 nm, with configurations delivering pulse widths down to 650 ps at repetition rates of up to 100 kHz. The 1064 nm ANP-20E-000 model provides >25 µJ pulse energy, >1.75 W average power and peak power above 38 kW at 70 kHz. At 532 nm, the ANG-10E-000 provides >12 µJ pulse energy and >700 mW average power at 70 kHz. Factory configurations can be specified for different repetition rates and pulse energies.
Excellent beam quality is a key feature of the PicoOne platform. Both 1064 nm and 532 nm configurations provide a Gaussian TEM₀₀ beam with M² <1.2, together with linear polarisation and a polarisation extinction ratio above 20 dB. The single-frequency architecture also provides a narrow spectral output, with the 1064 nm model offering a specified linewidth of 2.8 pm.
The PicoOne is designed for efficient integration into scientific instruments and OEM systems. RS232 and 0–5 V analogue control provide energy adjustment, while TTL 0–5 V gating enables external control of laser operation. The sealed, air-cooled architecture offers a low-maintenance solution for applications where space and system efficiency are important.
Typical applications include Raman spectroscopy, supercontinuum generation, LiDAR, optical ranging, biophotonics and precision micromachining, including selective material ablation and PCB repair.
