Hyperchromator Tunable Light Source

The MountainSource Hyperchromator transforms ISTEQ’s XWS-30 plasma light source into a precise, tunable light source. It covers the entire DUV to NIR range (190–2200 nm) with efficient monochromator optics.

Users benefit from high optical throughput. It captures light directly from the plasma with an f/1.5 aperture, eliminating inefficient entrance slits. Moreover, it offers narrow bandwidth selection. Tune between 1–20 nm FWHM, all controlled via a USB interface with GUI, LabVIEW, or RS-232.

Also, the motorised dual-grating changer allows users to switch between configurations smoothly. Achieve up to 800 µW output at 6 nm bandwidth with a 400 µm fiber. The output stays highly reproducible at ±0.1 nm, with scanning speeds up to 100 nm/s.

Further, the Hyperchromator delivers versatile coupling. Choose multi-mode fiber, free-beam output, or adjustable slit options. Optionally, users can add power or wavelength monitoring, and even integrate other ISTEQ sources such as the XWS-65 or XWS-R.

The Hyperchromator Tunable Light Source was designed for demanding spectroscopy, sensor calibration, and OEM integration. It remains compact and user-friendly, yet offers unmatched performance from deep-UV to NIR.
