The Opolucis AIR series utilise optical parametric oscillator (OPO) technology to generate tunable wavelengths across the UV, visible, near-infrared, and mid-infrared. Designed for portability and OEM integration, the Opolucis AIR is end-user installable with no factory visit required. All tunable wavelengths exit from a single port and are accessible without any manual configuration changes. Wavelength tuning is motorised and computer controlled via a single USB connection.
Unlike any previous OPOTEK tunable laser, the Opolucis AIR requires no water cooling. There is no chiller to install or maintain, no DI water cartridge to replace, and no laboratory plumbing required. This makes it uniquely suited to space-constrained labs, core imaging facilities, portable field instruments, and OEM applications requiring DC power.
The Opolucis AIR series is available in three configurations:
OPOLUCIS AIR 1030 (VIS-optimised, 355 nm pumped)
Tuning range: 405–2200 nm signal/idler; 210–410 nm with UV extension option</p>
Peak OPO energy: up to 8 mJ @ 450 nm
OPOLUCIS AIR 1020 (NIR-optimised, 532 nm pumped)
Tuning range: 650–2300 nm signal/idler; 330–650 nm with NIR extension option
Peak OPO energy: up to 12.5 mJ @ 750 nm
OPOLUCIS AIR 1010 (MIR, 1064 nm pumped)
Tuning range: 2700–3100 nm (P model), 3000–3450 nm (A model)
Peak OPO energy: up to 5 mJ (P model)

AVAILABLE OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES
Extended Tuning Range: Extends the tuning range to 210–410 nm (1030 model) or 330–650 nm (1020 model).
Motorised Variable Attenuator (MVA): Mounted, motorised and computer-controlled Glan Laser polariser that allows continuously variable attenuation from 100% down to 1% while maintaining maximum pulse-to-pulse stability. End user removable/installable. Reduces maximum pulse energy by 10–15% when installed. Recommended for tunable lasers in place of electrical (Q-switch delay) attenuation. Can only be used with visible and near-infrared wavelengths and should be removed when operating below 400 nm if applicable.
Fibre Delivery Kit (available on 1520/1530 models only): Fibre bundle installed directly into the auto-locking OPO output port. For optimal performance, an internal lens is installed inside the system. The lens can be removed by the end user for free space access. Typical transmission is 60–70% at shorter wavelengths and 40–60% at longer wavelengths. Fibre bundles are 2 m long with 3–5 mm input/output diameters and numerical aperture of 0.37. Supports wavelengths from 350–2500 nm. Can only be used with visible and near-infrared wavelengths and should be removed when operating below 400 nm if applicable.
Fast Tuning (FT): Change tuning speed from seconds to <50 ms between any wavelength in the Signal or Idler range.
Wavelength Monitoring: Ocean Optics micro-spectrometer available for real-time wavelength verification. Inquire for pricing
