Merion MW HP

The Quantel by Lumibird Merion MW HP is a high-power, diode-pumped nanosecond Nd:YAG laser designed for demanding scientific and industrial applications requiring high pulse energy, excellent beam quality and high average power. Based on an advanced oscillator-amplifier architecture, the Merion MW HP delivers up to 1.5 J per pulse or 100 W average power at 1064 nm, while maintaining a compact and robust design.

The Merion MW HP is available with repetition rates up to 200 Hz and provides access to multiple wavelengths, including 1064 nm, 532 nm, 355 nm and 266 nm. Plug-and-play harmonic generators with automatic phase matching make wavelength conversion straightforward, allowing the laser to be configured for different experimental requirements. A 213 nm output is also available on request.

With pulse durations of approximately 5–9 ns, beam quality of M² ≤2.5 and beam divergence of ≤0.7 mrad at 1064 nm, the Merion MW HP Nd:YAG laser is suited to applications where both high pulse energy and controlled beam characteristics are important. An optional Single Longitudinal Mode (SLM) configuration provides a linewidth as narrow as 0.005 cm⁻¹ for applications requiring enhanced spectral performance.

Applications include LiDAR, laser ablation, material processing, laser peening, laser ultrasound, spectroscopy, LIF, PIV, OPO and Ti:Sapphire pumping, CARS and shockwave generation. The system can therefore serve as a versatile high-energy laser source for research laboratories, industrial instrumentation and advanced laser-based measurement systems.
