NoIR LaserShields are available in a comprehensive range of filter types, each optimised for specific laser wavelengths and applications. The main filter families available through Photonic Solutions are summarised below — full optical density and wavelength specifications are provided in the Features tab.

All NoIR LaserShields are manufactured from CE-marked, M-Rated polycarbonate, providing impact resistance alongside laser protection. Filters are engineered to highly specific OD tolerances and visibility levels — the VLT% (visible light transmission) figure indicates how much visible light passes through the filter, which is an important consideration for tasks requiring clear vision.

• Scientific & Research 
  • Suitable for use alongside CW and pulsed laser sources in optical lab environments. High VLT options (e.g. EC2 at 93% VLT) available where colour discrimination is important during alignment or fluorescence work.
• Ultrafast Laser Systems 
  • Filters including ARG, DBY, IRD, and YAD provide OD 7+ protection at UV and near-IR wavelengths typically used in Ti:Sapphire, Yb-fibre, and Nd:YAG ultrafast systems.
