Broadband Plasma Light Sources

Isteq‘s XWS-Series broadband plasma light sources offer unmatched performance from deep UV through NIR. They cover 190–2500 nm in one stable output. You gain high spectral brightness up to 55 mW/(mm²·sr·nm) with XWS-65. You also benefit from ultralong 10,000-hour lifetime and temporal/spatial stability (STD < 0.15 %).

The XWS-30 model is compact. It fits into tight spaces and runs without a chiller. Despite its size (just 149 × 166 × 145 mm), it delivers up to 48 mW/(mm²·sr·nm). For even higher UV brightness, the XWS-X delivers up to 150–200 mW/(mm²·sr·nm) and boosts UV output sixfold compared to XWS-65.

Additionally, all XWS units integrate seamlessly. You control them via USB, Ethernet, or RS-232. The optical heads come in free-space or fiber-coupled versions, and you choose between air or water cooling. They support retroreflector, dual-port, and ozone-free configurations. Each model uses a xenon plasma lamp with no electrodes, ensuring low maintenance and high operational reliability.

In applications, XWS light sources outperform traditional xenon or deuterium lamps. They excel in absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, confocal microscopy, metrology, and lab-on-a-chip diagnostics. You get broad coverage, high brightness, and plug-and-play reliability all in one.
